Bulletin
Thursday, August 18, 2016                                                                      WEEK 1

Attention all students:   Are you thinking you would like to go out for sports at Oroville High School? That’s great!!!   If you are interested in going out for swimming, please see Michela in the attendance office.   Cross country – see Ms. Guzman in S-3; Freshman football see Mr. Anderson in Q-8; Girls volleyball see Ms. Steinmann in the attendance office; and Girls tennis see Mr. Brown in E-3.

Parking Permits:  Effective August 21st, all cars in the student parking lot near main campus and in the parking lot on south campus must have a parking permit. To get your parking permit contract and a list of required documents, please see Chris Wimberly in the attendance office before school, after school, at lunch, or during break.

Attention All Students:
The staff at Oroville High realizes that the weather is still very warm…and you purchased some wonderful new clothes for your first days at Oroville High.  But Oroville High has a dress code.  We cannot allow strapless clothing, bare midriffs, or shirts with the fronts, backs or sides gapping to your waist band.  If you are found to be in violation, or your clothing is found to be “distracting”, you will be sent to the Attendance Office to call home for a change of clothing.  If you have any questions on what clothing is allowed, the dress code is found on page 12 of the Discipline Plan.  Look on the district website under the parent/student tab

If you need to take medication during the school day, you need to have a doctor’s signed authorization form on file.  Over the counter medications, such as Tylenol or Excedrin, are not allowed on campus, and must be left in the Attendance Office with doctor permission only.  Anyone with medications that are not authorized are in violation of the district drug policy and may face disciplinary action.  Please take any necessary medications to the Attendance Office and pick up a Medication Authorization form as soon as possible.

If you plan to have a job during the school year, you will need to complete a work permit application immediately.  It will need to be signed by you, your parent or guardian, and your employer.  If you held a job over the summer your work permit is no longer valid.  All summer permits expire the first day of school.  Please see Brenda Watts in the Counseling Office to pick up the application.
